It's a Terry Pratchett reference. No one ever seems to recognise this, but that's OK, I went for obscure. Oh, and I wanted something that didn't land me at the bottom of alphabetical lists for once in my life :P I like it a lot - certainly it is the username I am most attached to - and remains as relevant now as it felt when I picked it 5 years ago.
Gosh, 5 years is a long time. Particularly on the internet.
January was pretty boring. Let's all have a Happy February guys.

Date: 2011-02-01 02:12 pm (UTC)I don't have DID, but I do feel multi faceted, and sometimes the facets seem strange, and like they shouldn't go together, but they all add up to being me. Even when I don't feel like me. Dunno if that makes sense. But I identified with that throwaway character a lot. And when I originally got this LJ I wanted it to be, among other things, a place I could collate, well, myself.
Anyway, my simple name actually means a (possibly surprising) lot to me :)
Argh, I do not know when to ask people about touring Britain! I didn't want to bring it up to close to Christmas, but if I leave it too late people will have exams, and I'm still hoping for interviews to turn into offers *deludes herself* and I don't have much money for either trains fares or for pretty dresses... basically I have no idea. But I so want it to happen. I should just pick a weekend and say "can I come stay? Please?". Maybe I shall start doing that. Yessssss *strokes imaginary beard*
