It's a Terry Pratchett reference. No one ever seems to recognise this, but that's OK, I went for obscure. Oh, and I wanted something that didn't land me at the bottom of alphabetical lists for once in my life :P I like it a lot - certainly it is the username I am most attached to - and remains as relevant now as it felt when I picked it 5 years ago.

Gosh, 5 years is a long time. Particularly on the internet.

January was pretty boring. Let's all have a Happy February guys.

Okay, so I feel like a really bad Pratchett fan because I can't for the life of me work out the reference.

I like it. You are altogether yourself! <3

When are you going to do your Grand Tour of Britain?

Don't feel bad! It's seriously obscure. I can't even remember which book it is, I haven't read it for ages, but one of the ones set in Ankh Morpork, and in like, one throw away scene there are a bunch of homeless people. One of them might be Foul Ole Ron, I honestly can't remember. And there's one called Altogether Andrew, who has DID and contains seven (I think) different personalities, one I'm sure is called Queen Hermione, and none of which are called Andrew. But altogether he is Altogether Andrew.

I don't have DID, but I do feel multi faceted, and sometimes the facets seem strange, and like they shouldn't go together, but they all add up to being me. Even when I don't feel like me. Dunno if that makes sense. But I identified with that throwaway character a lot. And when I originally got this LJ I wanted it to be, among other things, a place I could collate, well, myself.

Anyway, my simple name actually means a (possibly surprising) lot to me :)

Argh, I do not know when to ask people about touring Britain! I didn't want to bring it up to close to Christmas, but if I leave it too late people will have exams, and I'm still hoping for interviews to turn into offers *deludes herself* and I don't have much money for either trains fares or for pretty dresses... basically I have no idea. But I so want it to happen. I should just pick a weekend and say "can I come stay? Please?". Maybe I shall start doing that. Yessssss *strokes imaginary beard*

I'm not doing this Writer's Block. Mostly because I don't want to face up to the fact that 10 years on the Internet is REALLY long, and as such, sometimes you get stuck with something that made sense in the DISTANT DISTANT PAST.

I had an email address with 2000 at the end and it went out of date super quickly. Obviously. I think my 15 year old brain decided heck, it would ALWAYS be 2000-and-something! SO IT WILL ALWAYS BE APPROPRIATE.

Oh 15 year old brains. Every thought I had then can either be sorted into the "dear god, what was wrong with me?!" pile, or the "yep, I still agree/think that's a good idea/would do again/totally me" pile. There is no middle ground.

But super lulz at your thinking "I shall put a date in - A DATE WHICH SHALL NEVER EXPIRE!!" XD

I've been wondering about your username for ages. :D (Clearly, I haven't read anything by Terry Pratchett...) And hell, five years. That's how long I've had my username as well. Still happy with it. :)

Yeah, I'm good at forgetting to ask about stuff like this! One minute I think, hm what does isi's username mean, and the next minute I'm like LOOK A PINK SQUIRREL. (Now you're wondering where I live. AHAHA.)

Happy February! I hope that it is full of good things! And I love usernames with literary references so yay for that, although I have never read any Terry Pratchett to have understood it before you explained! So now I think it's twice as cool as I did already. :)

Love!

Han. You need to read Terry Pratchett. You *need* to. At least one. Man is a freaking genius.

Obviously, you are pretty busy with reading Paradise Lost and studying and having a life at the moment, so I won't insist you start right away. But, you are now informed that your life is incomplete, and I urge you to read some at the earliest opportunity to help remedy this.

So that's where your username comes from! I always thought it was pretty cool, but I had no idea it was a Pratchett reference. (I haven't read any Pratchett in ages - well, I read Night Watch a couple of years ago, mostly because people kept comparing it to Life On Mars and I wanted to see for myself, but apart from that none since I was a child.)

I had never thought to compare Night Watch and Life On Mars! Wow, I can feel my brain making connections. Now I wanna go reread and rewatch. Maybe simultaneously.

Ah, the man's a genius. <3333
