Hello, new people I have friended lately!

 I'm having a lot of thoughts about the future. Serious thoughts about serious stuff.

Some of it is sad. Some of it is exciting. Some of it seems like a dream. I simultaneously want to keep it all to myself and tell everyone. Strange times.

I don't watch Supernatural. But from the look of my flist, something major went down, and now I'm all curious. Anyone?

I had dinner with some friends last night that are unreal. M and B are marvellous precisely because they are kinda toff-y, and Cambridge-y and wonderful, the kinda of person that is stereotypically Cambridge, very Brideshead. If they were fictional characters, I'd be all annoyed because most people here are not at all like that. But they are. And they are such nice people and so so delightful. M loves three piece suits and pocket squares. So lovely.

Tomorrow I'm going to see Flight of the Conchords! I'm excited you guys. I am slightly worried about the possible return of the volcanic ash cloud, just when my friend N is due to return to the country. Come on volcano gods, hold off just a couple more days, please?

Supernatural just had a season finale that's been being built up to since like forever -- it was going to be the show-ender, but they got another season, and it was supposed to be THE BIGGEST BANG.

Some of the fans think it was the biggest bang.

Some of the fans think it was more wet firecracker.

I'm ... I'm not sure if you'd count me a fan, like a FANNISH fan? But my friends are, and I'm along for the ride. If I had honestly been expecting ZOMG THIS IS IT THIS IS THE CLIMAX, I probably would have been Very Annoyed. It was supposed to be ROCKS FALL EVERYONE DIES, but it was ROCKS FALL EVERYONE DIES J/K LOL GUESS WHO WAS GOD ALL ALONG, HE WASN'T PLAYING SKEEBALL, HE WAS JUST WRITING BAD FANFIC ABOUT HIS CREATION. And, uh.

Season finale, end of a five-year arc. Some people were happy, some people were satisfied, some people were disappointed, some people were furious, some people are confused, some people are at a loss.

I should be happy/satisfied that the character that's kept me glued to the show the past year survived, but instead I'm screaming "WTF?" everywhere. From a storytelling point I am just barely satisfied with the arc and mostly just angry and feeling unfulfilled.

The series five season finale of Supernatural aired on Thursday. Certain things were left a little ambiguous, people are flailing about it quite a lot. (If you have a vague idea of the plot I could tell you the specifics of what people are freaking out about? If you don't know the plot at all it might require some explanation, though.)

Ahh I have a friend at Bristol like M and B sound! Although he irritates me a little bit with it because he's a bit too stereotypically Oxbridge and so come with a dash of casual racism. And he sadly ignores my protestations because he seems to have some ingrained sexism as well. But other than that he is a very nice guy who keeps having wine and cheese parties and will never wear anything but tweed jackets.

And I remain insanely jealous of your going to see Flight of the Conchords. I hope your friend made it in!
