So, pre- Doctor Who excitement....
Duh duh-duh-duh-duh... Eeeee Eeeee!!
Mainly, I'm excited about Donna-- I really liked Donna in the Runaway Bride, and I love Catherine Tate, so I'm really glad that shes coming back. In particular, I'm really happy that Donna is not attracted to or in love with the Doctor [though I'm sure there will be plenty of fic]- it will help provide a new and fresher angle to the companion's position.
Speaking of companion's, I am also rather excited about the masses of companions turning up later on in this series- not just Donna and Martha, but Jack, Sarah Jane and Rose!! All in the same episode...! That is gonna be awesome!
I dont really know all that much about the Sontarons, but my brother seems prett excited about them- I'm looking forward to Steven Moffat's scary librar episodes, and wondering whether they or Midnight will compete with Blink for scariness. Also, the greeat thing about Blink is/was that it was so totally different- there was barely any Doctor. So I wonder if there will be any other less standard episodes. I imagine one of them will be the 42 of this series, but right now I can't wait to see what they do with Agatha Christie, who really did disappear for several days, and of course episode six, The Doctor's Daughter, does have a rather interesting title.
Oh, and this will come to nothing, but when I was at the Doctor Who exihibition I saw a clip from 2x01, New Earth, when the meat people are coming down the lift or something, and this woman rushes forward to press a button and disappears again-- and I swear that it looks just like today's villain, Miss Foster. And I've been going crazy tring to find a clip on outube or a picture or something, but I haven't. And its starting now!!!
