~ Let's Kill Hitler finally went out (longest 12 days ever?!) so I can actually talk about it now without fear I'll accidentally say something spoilery. WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK?? As I said before, my actual favourite moments were a) flashback Amy/Rory, the terror in Rory's eyes, oh bless, that is a feeling I know very well and b) the Doctor's talking to the voice interface inside the TARDIS, both how he reacts to images of Rose and Donna and particularly lovely, wonderful and much maligned Martha, and the hologram of Amelia insisting he will be dead in 32 minutes. Plus, I am really loving the evolution of Rory, the badassery not removing the adorableness. Actually, I am shipping Amy/Rory way harder than ever before now - the way they said "I love you" when they thought they would die awwwwwwww AMAZING.

I wonder if/when the BFI will post the Q&A session.

~ I GOT MY POTTERMORE EMAIL. It is cool in there you guys. I am in absolutely no rush to get through it or anything, so I have mainly been hanging out making potions thus far and adoring the extra bits of insight and backstory that I've got to so far. I was so freaking relieved to be sorted into Slytherin you have no idea - I worried at one point that I might come across as a Ravenclaw (uh, no offence Ravenclaws) and was like, if I don't get into Slytherin I shall cry all the tears. But I did. THANK YOU POTTERMORE.

~ I drank lots of cocktails with various people. That was nice :)

~ I fell into really liking My Chemical Romance. There I was, watching their set at Reading and appreciating Gerard's red hair, which is either pretty much or exactly the same bright red as Benjamin Cook's btw, getting Play to telling me who these people are (despite me actually having read fic featuring them in the past) and then IDEK I noticed that Mikey Way is very hot and now I am listening to albums and reading fic and looking for interviews? It's pretty fun :D

~ Most of the books I am taking on holiday turned up. (Did I mention I am about to go on holiday?) I am just about managing not to read them yet, but I have not managed to resist opening the packaging and stroking them a little bit. Still waiting on two.

~ A VERY POTTER THREEQUEL IS CONFIRMED AND HAPPENING with Darren onboard and everything!!! YOU GUYS, WE'RE GOING BACK. This is totally why he said he was growing his hair out again. I am very happy and excited.

How is everyone?

Ooo, pottermore email! That's so exciting! I'm still waiting on mine... Hopefully it comes soon! I am curious though - how does the sorting work? Do you have to answer a series of questions and they sort you through that?

OMG THEY'RE MAKING A VERY POTTER THREEQUEL?! THAT'S SO AWESOME! AAAAAAAHHHH DYING OF EXCITEMENT! When, when, when will this be?

What day did you register? Considering a million early entrants will get in before October, I think they a going quite slowly - last time I looked there were about 9,000 Slytherins, so if it's about equal (dunno if it is, but whatever) less than 40,000 in so far, less than 5%. You'll get yours soon!

Sorting and getting your wand are both a series of questions. For Sorting you answer 7 questions - well, make 7 choices really. I gather not everyone gets asked the same questions. Some it's fairly obvious "that's a Gryffindor trait, that's a Slytherin trait" and some are more vague. After I'd answered my last choice it came up with this gorgeous Slytherin banner, I was so happy. Someone somewhere (can't remember who) said she had to choose between Slytherin and Hufflepuff, I'm not sure whether she literally got ask to pick for herself at the end or whether she needed to decide so she could pick between answers she felt were equally true for her. I was so happy though because a couple of times I worried I ought to pick something else to be sure I ended up in Slytherin, but then with true answers it worked out! Hurray!

YES I KNOW RIGHT SO EXCITED!!! All I know is 2012, Darren, happening. IT'S GONNA BE TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

I think it was the third day? I can't really remember but either the third or the fourth...

Mmm, yeah, they wouldn't want to crash the site by letting everyone in. Patience is my friend!

Awesome! I personally think I'm a Slytherin too but we'll see how my questions go :D

I am now going to have that song stuck in my head all day today! But that's alright since it's TOTALLY AWESOME! /lame

I think they are broadly letting people in in order - I do know a couple of grumpy first day registerants that haven't got in yet, but they were letting day twos in yesterday. Patience is good! I hope you do join me in greatness in Slytherin!

I want my Pottermore email! Everyone seems to be getting them now. I want to know what house I'm in, I've never been able to decide!

I've decided that Rory is pretty much the best ever. Seriously, he has grown so much but not in a cliche, unbelievable way. He goes from being adorable to nervous to kind of dorky to kick arse to clumsy, and I just love love love him. I actually think he's one of the best things about this series. /slightly obsessed fangirl

Did you see Panic! at the Disco at Reading?! If so, eternally jealous. If not, still jealous, I would have loved to see MCR! And I had no idea you were into bandom! It is like...pretty much all I've read for almost two years now.

It'll come! Mine turned up just when I stopped expecting it lol. I was all, this morning I shall devote myself to fangirling MCR! And then my Pottermore email was like "lol, NO YOU WON'T." :O I suppose it wasn't quite such a pleasant surprise as having a giant show up on your 11th Birthday, but still, similar excited surprise! Is there a house you'd prefer not to be in? Or are you torn equally four ways?

Haha, I wasn't *at* Reading, I probably would have mentioned that! I do not have the requisite spare £200 and also, while I love the idea of festivals I think practicality wise they are not really for me, as I am liable to not be able to see anything/get crushed/become grumpy. So I was watching the coverage on TV from the comfort of my home, which was great because I was also tweeting and IMing and betaing and looking up Mikey Way picspams all at the same time. Now I may go look up the P!ATD set - there's so many peoploe I haven't watched yet. I love festival season :)

Possibly, I am in bandom now? I've dipped into some of the fic before, (particularly when it crossed into AI fic and I stumbled around on the other side for a while exploring, and also once I went a little crazy and spent a couple of hours looking up Kevin Jonas fic on AO3, which also ends up with me back at the MCR stuff for whatever way my brain works, IDEK) but often with little idea who the people actually are, and I always felt a bit intimidated because I haven't even heard of some of the bands that pop up let alone actually listened to their music or been to a gig of theirs, and I just generally know that practically anyone that likes music hates my music taste, so basically I am often scared of music fans hating me :3 And like, I know the singles but not really the albums, and usually when I like music it's the music the proper fans think is terrible. Scary. Every time I try to appease music fans I almost constantly get it wrong so now I've given up and just quietly like what I like and whatever if I never get to talk about it with anyone. /foreveralone

So anyway, when I was watching MCR the other night, and talking about how awesome they are, and how kickass Gerard's hair is atm, and obviously I knew Gerard, but while I knew there was lots of Gerard/Frank fic I didn't actually know which one was Frank. Ahahaha. Now I do. Muchly. If you have any recs, particularly for Mikey because he IMO is the hottest :P I would welcome them!

Rory is just *lovely* I'm really glad we're getting the chance to see him become more active without losing his personality or his devotion to Amy. And since I saw the true hotness of Arthur Darvill in person the other week, I am even more of a cheerleader for him!

Haha I hope so, I'm so excited about it. And I've never been able to decide if I'm Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. I'm like 100% sure I'm not Slytherin or Gryffindor (although having said that, I bet I'll end up in one of them!) so I'd love to see what I end up as.

Ahhh, I thought it was odd that you slipped that one in there without elaborating. I did that last year - watched all the festivals from the comfort of a couch in North London, but this year's line up was amazing so I'm still jealous that you could watch it all on BBC. It's harder here to do that. And I agree with you about festivals, I'd rather see the sideshows, not the actual festivals because I think I would not cope very well!

Definitely be in bandom now! It's amazing, oh my gosh. I had no idea who anyone was when I started reading, and I only knew PATD's and FOB's music, and like two MCR songs, and I didn't really know what anyone looked like haha. But that's what primers/picspams are for! And Wikipedia. I had Wikipedia pages open for ages to check who everyone was and why/how they knew each other. And the only bandom band I've ever seen in concert is The Like (although that has more to do with NO ONE COMING OZ WHEN I'M HERE), and they don't even play anymore. I have a super eclectic music taste so I'm sure we like some of the same stuff :) I will talk music with anyone, and I tend to just assume that we'll find a common artist/band/song. A lot of my friends don't get why I'm so obsessed with Panic! et al, because my taste is pretty indie/alternative for the most part, but then I'm like, you should see me sing along to Taylor Swift like she's expressing my inner pain. So yes! My music taste = random.

I'm pretty Panic! centric when it comes to fic but I love Mikey too, so I probably can rec you some amazing fic, although not right now because I'm at uni and I'm supposed to be doing my Yiddish assignment, but I'll have a hunt around :) Or you can check my delicious, the link's on my LJ, although I can't remember what's on there lol.

Congratulations on your Sorting! :D I'm not going to be one of the early entrants, I'll be joining with the rest of the peons in October, but by all accounts it sounds fabulous and entertaining and YAY POTTERMORE. I AM EXCITE FOR YOU.

And also, everything Doctor Who chooses to be ♥ That was quite an ... interesting episode.

I AM GOOD. HOW ARE YOU? :DD

Today I have been rubbish at casting spells and even more rubbish at making potions. I melted TWO cauldrons ;__; It has been less exciting and more incredibly frustrating >:(

So much love for Doctor Who. The next few episodes look AWESOME. Did you not like Let's Kill Hitler? I know some people felt a bit let down...?

I AM SOMEWHERE BETWEEN GOOD and absolutely horrendous. Um, yay? :/

I heard that JKR is using Pottermore to reveal more HP canon -- have you found any of it/is is super cool, or ...? And I'm sorry about your cauldrons ;___;

I'm still sorting out my feelings on it. It was a lot to take in in one episode, and it might just have been because I was watching it sporadically (I would get up, do something, come back to the episode) but it felt less like its own episode and more like reading the first two chapters of a book: not enough to get immersed because there is SO MUCH MORE to the story.

So, while I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, because River was all the awesome and so was her previous incarnation and lol what @ Hitler in the closet, I just don't know what my feelings are doing @___@

SO LIKE LIFE. EXCELLENT. OH JOY, GOOD AND ABJECT MISERY. *hugs*

There is more canon, character backstory particularly, and also some bits of commentary, her thoughts and explanations about why she did things. Some (typed up obviously) notes that have since changed. I think it's interesting - my favourite thing I've found so far is McGonagall's backstory, which is long and in depth and lovely if sad.

I think it'll be great when all the River stuff is finally done and we can go back and watch it all unfold in one go, instead of having to live in this WIP, but I am really enjoying it thus far!

I like vicariously living through Bran and your Pottermore experiences, I gotta say :DD Am very curious as to how the experience will end up being for me though XD I now live in healthy respect of the potions-brewing experience though...
