 Excitement, for today William and Kate's engagement was announced!

They seem very happy and well matched, so congrats and best wishes to them :D



...somehow this translates to me as a very good excuse to reread Drastically Redefining Protocol :P


But oh my god, I am so behind on my Nano, I must get back to it. Crazy teenagers aren't going to discover magic and have adventures and make out on their own, now are they.

:D My mum became ridiculously excited when it was announced, she is so spectacularly invested in the royal family! I too send them all the love, and am annoyed at all the people on the BBC website going 'uh, who cares?' WELL CLEARLY A LOT OF PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO RULE OVER US ACTUALLY ONE DAY.

I totally went and re-read DRP after you mentioned it on Twitter, and it was as adorable as I ever remembered. <3

God I know the feeling. I am thinking if I hole up in hte library, I will have nothing to do but write in silence, and will therefore write the 25000 words that I have to write to be up to the purple bar...

I am such a monarchist (and am generally very patriotic etc) and I was beaming all over my face yesterday. It was just such good news, so nice to have good news, all happy making and exciting and the two of them just seem so happy and lovely together :D :D :D

I do not understand people that bother to write comments on websites saying "who cares?" If they do not care, they shouldn't be wasting their time reading and commenting, or wasting their money texting a tv show or whatever. If they don't care, fine, GO DO SOMETHING YOU DO CARE ABOUT. The internet is a big place, after all.

I reread DRP, and then that reminded me how much I love Arthur/Merlin and in fact spent much of the evening reading lots of fic. Which of course means I am even more behind on my Nano. Dear god. I keep thinking, "oh it's fine, I'll just write 10 000 words today, and 10 000 tomorrow, and it'll be fine" and clearly these are the ravings of a deluded madwoman because I'm not really producing much more than 1 500 at the moment. And I should be panicked, but I just look at what I have written and feel happy to have written any of it rather than anxious that there isn't more.

Lol libraries though. Starbucks. Starbucks is rapidly becoming my spritual home.
