Russell T Davis is leaving Doctor Who????

OHMIGOD WHY????

So so shocked. Like, whoa, WTF? 

Now, I am totally freaked out. I can't stop thinking that he and David Tennant will both leave at the same time, letting Stephen Moffat have a new Doctor as well as presumably a new direction. Argh. I kept saying that DT would do the fifth series because why oh why would they go to the bother of changing next year's Doctor Who to three specials to fit in with his Hamlet schedule if he wasn't going to do at least one more series afterwards? But now, my resolve id crumbling. I am so confused and anxious.

Couldn't he just take a smaller role, supervising or something or anthing? He's so good... And ok, he's NOT PERFECT, but still. I LIKE Russell, even though he's a bit weird and some of his stuff is crap. I think Stephen Moffat is that really excellent writer, but will he have the vision for whole series-ness that Russell is so good at?

Argh, WHY??????????
