In brief

+ The Demon's Covenant is so so good. I cannot stress this enough.

+ I am working my way through reading the entire chat transcript, with vague ~ideas about shipping charts and ficlets. I love this fandom guys.

+ The Eurovision song contest is bizarre, but somehow it has wormed its ridiculous self into my heart.

+ I am sad about David Laws, but yesterday I realised I do not want to fall wailing into Chris Crocker territory, so I am endeavouring to take a step back.

+ I want to to write! SO. Many. Things. This is my general reaction to freedom and sunshine = creativity. Possibly not as useful as actual photosynthesis, but more fun.

+ I need a Ball dress. A simultaneously scary and exciting prospect.

I shall take your points as I find them! :D

-OH MY GOODNESS YES. :D I am still in a happy squeeful place.

-God we talked for a long time...blew last year's record out of the water! (I am very much running on autopilot today after just five hours sleep. But must. revise.) I did not participate as much going along as I wanted to, but I was kind of, um, squiffy after I got back from my Eurovision party and then kept getting distracted with reading, as it was only the second time I'd read it and kept Noticing Stuff.

-I am quite sad for that too, not least because when I lived in Somerset he was my MP. Or at least, I think he was. But also just generally really sad.

-Aww YAY! :D I'm so glad! I think I will get a creative buzz when my exams are over and I can take Polly into the sunshine, I hope so anyway. Writing is MUCH more useful than photosynthesis!

-YAY again! Ball dresses are so lovely. :) I do technically already have one for my ball, but I am kind of tempted to go and blow some money on another one as an end-of-year present to myself. (Totally faily logic as that is supposed to be a holiday to Greece with my friends, but WHATEVER!) I cannot wait to see pictures of you looking all gorgeous in it!

Love you!

:D, isn't it though! *<3s everyone*

It's like the most delicious combination of crack and epic. I missed you! There was a thing, and I was excited, and there was no Isi to share my excitement with!

My plan for this afternoon is to snuggle down and watch it. I feel my sleep deprived brain will be just about okay with that.

The idea of a political based Chris Crocker is just too funny to me.

YAAAY!

TO wear to the marmfish meetup, right?

Haha, if only. I was saying to Lal that the TDC launch is the day after a Ball I'm going to, and that I could easily turn up *slightly* drunk and still wearing the dress having stayed up all night. But if all the other fish also came stylishly overdressed that would be rather fabulous :D

I love it so much. I need to make a proper squee post, but every time I've tried so far I pick up the book again and then I just start reading it. I can't regret this state of affairs tho XD

Question: Why is buying a ball dress scary?

[identity profile] altogetherisi.livejournal.com 2010-06-02 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
Answer: Because I will probably spend how too much money, and pathetically I'd much rather shop or dresses with someone else there too, and I've kinda ailed at it the last few times I've tried, and also, I just find the whole idea of it quite daunting because there are so many different styles and I don't really know what I want and besides most of them won't fit me... but on the other hand, I do love shopping, and dresses, and finding a really nice one will happen and will make me totally happy.

I got my last two dresses from Oxfam, so you could try there :P It involves a lot of searching, and it took me more than two trips to get those two dresses, but they are cheap!
