Chris Moyles mentions John Barrowman
Chris: Tomorrow on the show Graham Norton is in, er plugging the er
Dave: I’d Do Anything
Chris: Yeah. Which I saw, a little bit of the results show, yesterday. Erm, weirdly, er, our friend Abi, I don’t know if she’ll be awake, our friend Abi went to see John Barrowman in concert last night
Dave: Did she?
Chris: John Barrowman is, on a tour
Dave: What, like a singing tour?
Chris: Yeah. So where did he play, which tiny little venue did he play? Hammersmith Apollo!--
Aled: Wow…
Chris: --He played last night!
Dave: But that’s, that’s not the question, why on earth did Abi go and
Chris: Well, I thought it was for work but then, we er, I saw her last night and she, she’d just come back, she was very giddy and said he was amazing.
Dave: Well, I don’t doubt that he would be amazing but
Chris: John Barrowman. Live.
Aled: So what did he sing?
Chris: He sings like, he just, he did nearly, he did an album of cover versions or something
Aled: Yes.
Chris: But apparently he sings, and he tells stories, and he does some jokes, and he’s very entertaining. He’s one of those kind of like, taley- he can do anything. He was er, on the radio the other week, he was filling in for Johnny Vaughn with Denise van Outen the other week.
Dave: Oh that’s right, yeah.
Chris: Apparently, it was really good!
Chris: And he used to do Live and Kicking.
Dave: Yes he did.
Aled: Did he?
Chris: John Barrowman? Yeah!
Aled: As what?
Chris: He was with Andi and Emma, wasn’t he?
Dave: Yeah he was, yeah. In that era with Andi Peters and Emma Forbes--
Aled: I used to watch that
Dave: --John Barrowman was on there. I’m not entirely sure what his role was.
Chris: Ever remember a random American fella on Live and Kicking?
Aled: No I don’t
Chris: Really?
Chris: Oh well anyway he did it. John Barrowman.
Dave: He’s an all rounder.
Chris: He does everything. He sings, he dances, he tells jokes. The only thing he doesn’t do is sleep with women!
Aled: True.
Chris: But then in Torchwood, he does!
Aled: Does he?
Chris: Isn’t he?
Aled: I thought he was gay in Torchwood?
Chris: I thought he was bisexual?
Aled: Oh is he? Oh fine.
Chris: I’ve never watched Torchwood.
And then the conversation moves on to Doctor Who and other topics. This only takes about two minutes for them to actually say, but took me about an hour to transcribe! But I figured, that it's quite positive and when the were actually speaking live I was a llittle worried that they would say something horrible or negative or dismissive, so I was really pleased.

Overall, Chris was actually being really positive, especially for him, as he's often pretty negative, and also I don't think he likes any of the things John actually does, so that he seems to like John himself is pleasantly surprising. Dave was pretty non-plussed and Aled didn't know all that much about him. Abi sounds like a total fangirl though!
