Life goes on
Yes, indeed it does.
Today I my alarm went off at 4.45. I started to actually work at 7.
I went through quite a lot of what turned out to be CLARE'S Physics revision book before I sussed that it was much much faster to just read the four summary pages again and again and again, and since I probably would have forgotten most of the extra details anyway it was much more efficient. I also re-read a coursework essay four times and the best part of a Five Act play. Oh, and some more Cosmo. I have to stop...
A even got my dad to properly explain Red Shift to me, although I'm not sure I explained myself that well when it did turn up on the exam. But oh well.
Becca called me and asked which english exam it was- I told her and reminded her that it started earlier than usual, which she had totally forgotten. I felt quite happy to help her.
I got really hungry because I was having brunch before I went to school instead of breakfast and a small, rushed lunch. BUt by the time it got to 11 I was STARVING and I ate masses... mmm.... Even now I've only eaten a sandwich and two chocolate cornflakes clusters since then.
I left the house at about 11:25, and promptly missed a 7. But then I got on the next 8 and when it stopped two stops down my riend Flo from my old school got on! Which was kinda weird but also really nice and we had a good chat and a good moan about exams and revision.
Then I went to Borders where I did some MORE physics revision in a desperate attempt to learn the formulae. I still don't think I know all of them, and I don't have a nifty rhyme or anything, but I know so many more now than I did 24 hrs ago. Sen took a while trying to ind me in Borders even after I'd texted her where I was sitting and managed to find me only after calling me and getting step by step instructions.
After making a brief detour to get her some lunch we went to school and got there at about 12:45 and discovered that the exam was starting 15mins later than expected. So of course we sat around in an ever enlarging group of people frantically cramming physics right before an exam on Shakespeare. Except when I came off my seat and knelt on the ground and hid my face in my physics book, which happened because Mr Packard was wandering around asking for RS coursework off people.
Just before we went in Naomi and I managed to get more Drama stuff from Miss Bramell, and she didn't even moan about how I haven't handed in my Drama coursework, just mentioned how it made writing reports hard.

We had the 45 minute Much do exam first. I had thought that 45 minutes was a ridiculously short time, even to do just one essay. Which is odd because in our last exam we had 35 minutes for each task.. But anyway, it sounds very short.
It wasn't. Why? Because the questions were rubbish and I HAD NOTHING TO SAY. I seriously think I wrote the most rambling and repeating and BORING Much Ado essay ever.
I chose the extract question which had a chunk from Act Three with Dogberry and the watch and had to explain how Shakespeare made it entertianing. The only thought I had at first was "malapropisms". Somehow I managed to pull two more points that I'm not sure made sense- about the contrast of serious/silliness with the scene before, and the stereotype of bumbling wathmen allowing the audience to relax, and wrote a very odd essay that was only two sides long. I finished it within the time simply because I COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY, so I just decided to conclude it.
I spent the extra time reading the other questions on the paper. Not the other Much Ado, because obviously I did read all the questions before choosing which one I did. But there were Romeo and Juliet and something by Oscar Wilde and something else that I can't remember...
Most of my friends did the extract question too, and they too couldn't think of much to say. So hopefully what I wrote wasn't too awful. I don't think I fully explained mysel. Oh well...
The physics exam was kinda odd. I started out with the feeling that I was skipping out a lot of questions- because I always go all the way through Science papers in particular before going back to ones I didn't know, because they are so long- but then by the time I got to the end o the paper the first time around I still had about half an hour to go. So I went back, since I knew I'd skipped some quite big questions and worked out the maximum amount of marks I could get if I just left them blank. But I had all this time left, so I made sure that I wrote SOMETHING on every question even though quite a lot of it was tripe that really didn't mean anything scientific at once. There were a few questions where I even deliberately made my English weirder in the hope that she might not notice that it didn't make scientific sense if she couldn't really read it. BUt I did write something in all of the gaps, and I don't think I did too badly. I did remember almost all of my formulae, and only had a little dificulty with two of them. But I might still get some working marks for ecf and stuff.

In hindsight, I think I forgot to sign out. There was a lot of bustle in the crush hall, and I had a convo with Sen trying to get her to come shopping aain with me since I couldnt wear the clothes we found before on Friday because she was wearing hers but she had to go home. I ran for a 7 at Naomi's urging even though I wasn't going home- why why WHY is it that when I'm going to town there is always a 7??? Totally unfair. And Naomi and Clare didn't even get on the bus they had made me run for.
I was meaning to try to by some sort of jumper pull on, preferably in stone or khaki to go with my new bag, but I didn't like any of the colours in my size and the nice colours were all mediums with crazily long sleeves. However, I did somehow manage to buy yet more suede boots cheaply from Barretts on a Final Reduction spree. Last year I got my pink suede kitten heel boots for a iver- this year I got some lovely little black suede ankle boots with a bit of a heel.
Which is another thing- I keep meaning to buy more pumps, as I only really have one pair of lats other than my sandals, my school shoes [that aren't quite the same as flats but whatever] and my trainers, but they never have any in my size and I always come away with more heels of varying degrees if I buy anything at all.
Just the other day with Sen I bought shoes from New Look [that were a tiny bit grotty and were a weird shade of pink and would need elastic around the foot or ankle or SOMETHING other than across the top of the balls of my feet area to allow me the option of walking in them] simply because I'd been moaning about finding stuff in my size and while I'd been in the changing room she had somehow managed to round up all the shoes in the shop that could fit me, and while all the others didn't this one pair kinda did. And they were reduced from £14 down to £3... who cares if I never wear them??
Anyway, I bought more lovely boots for this winter but didn't find a sweater that I like all that much in my size, but I might go back tomorrow and buy a grey one even though I don't even want it that much.
Someone stop me PLEASE.
I'm meant to be doing Drama revision, but all I've done other than write this and read some emails is read some more of Cosmo. Its so moreish...
